Advance Nickel Coating

SMT   PVT LTD’s PVDN is an anti-sticking and corrosion resistant nickel alloy based pharma grade coating deposited by the State-of-the-art physical vapour deposition (PVD) process.

SMTPL’s PVDN coating provides a good solution for sticking and wear application. The Smooth and dense structure enhances the anti-sticking nature of the coating. PVDN has no micro-cracks as observed in conventional electro-less nickel plating resulting in better corrosion resistance properties. PVDN is deposited using a completely environmental friendly process in a clean vacuum chamber with no chemicals involved in process. During deposition process, the coating is diffused within the surface different from electroplating process where the plating is adhered to the surface. PVDN, therefore, exhibits better adhesion compared to the conventional electro-less nickel plating. Thus, PVDN is a better option at low cost with superior anti-sticking, anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties compared to the standard nickel plating. For Tablet tooling application, coating thickness in kept around 2 microns.
